Idea 4: Floor Party

Alright, strata dwellers, prepare for a floor-tastic fiesta! Let's face it, you probably see your floor mates more than your own family. But do you know their names or just their elevator button-pressing habits? Time to break the ice and throw a floor party.

• Don’t wait for someone else to suggest. Lead the charge, and hopefully, someone else will step up next time.
• Pick a fun occasion, St. Patrick's Day, a random Tuesday, whatever floats your boat. The point is, let's get social.
• Forget digital invites. Go old-school and slip a paper invite under their doors. (Letterboxes? Who checks those anymore?) We're aiming for maximum impact!
• Offer up your balcony for the first shindig. Set start and end time on the invite.  End time is important, just in case you really don’t like someone.
• Kick things off with a themed quiz. It's a guaranteed way to get the laughs flowing and the conversations started.
• Imagine running out of gladwrap on Christmas day. Your floor-mates could become your emergency supply squad.
• One person's trash is another's treasure. Got furniture you're chucking? Your new neighbours might be keen.
• Need an extra parking spot for a day? Ask your floor-mates, but only if you are not a stranger
• Going away? Your floor-mates might keep an eye on your mail.
• You might actually become friends. Imagine that and how convenient!
