Idea 2: Art Attack

Alright, strata superstars, let's turn those blank walls into gallery-worthy masterpieces! Forget beige boredom, we're going for "ooh la la".

A soulless lobby with blank walls is a crime against interior design. It's like walking through a museum of nothingness.

Art hung too high makes your ceiling look like it's auditioning for a limbo contest. Tiny art on a huge wall can look like a postage stamp on a billboard. Size matters, folks.

Do you even remember who “donated” that gold framed painting of donkeys? Don’t let well meaning residents affix anything to walls.  The wrong art is like wearing socks with sandals: everyone notices. And repeated art is just lazy. We're going for unique, not copy and paste.

If any of that sounds familiar, then you need to inject some pizzazz, some "wow factor” into your lobby and hallways.

  • Measure those walls and plan BIG. Canvas prints are your cost effective friends. Long hallways? Perfect for an art marathon! Small items? Group 'em up like a happy little art posse.
  • Hire a local photographer to capture the magic of your neighbourhood. Historic gates, street art, quirky signs – the possibilities are endless! Black and white? Even better! You will be surprised what hidden gems are in your area.
  • If you're into paintings, go abstract! It's modern, it's chic, and it's inoffensive..
  • Old maps, building plans, historic photos – tell the story of your building! Your local library or council will be your new best friends.
  • Mirrors. Perfect for checking your hair before the lift arrives (and for making dark corners sparkle).
  • Paint can be art, and using darker paint colours in hallways can be fantastic, but maybe get a designer's opinion before you unleash your inner Picasso. We're aiming for "wow," not "why?"
  • Lighting fixtures can be art. And don't leave your masterpieces in the dark. Repeat after me: always consider lighting.
  • Even door numbers and level numbers can be arty! Think outside the box!
  • Combine large canvas prints with smaller historic maps and arty door numbers for a truly unique and engaging display. Or blow up the maps to fill whole walls, and put a gallery of different size mirrors near the lifts. Let your imagination run wild!

Let's turn lobbies and hallways into art galleries and make your building the talk of the town!
